You clicked on the about me link. Instead of finding some exciting content to view, you decided to find out a little more about me, Brandon Tran. Well, I have been playing guitar for a very long time. My mom bought me my first acoustic guitar when I was 9. That was nice of her wasn't it :) - I started off learning some absolutely wacky songs like "Home on the Range" and "Please don't Eat All the Morsels," a popular commercial in the early 80's. Well that didn't last long before I became utterly bored with the guitar which resulted in me quitting. <span class='fullpost'><br />A few years later in 1989 when the "hair bands" became popular, "Guns n Roses, Poison, Van Halen, Motley Crue, and White Lion," to name a few, I decided to pick it up again. My mom again bought me another guitar in 1989, this time a hot electric red guitar. I played that guitar to death which is probably where I developed most of my skill. I was a member of several bands by the name of "Us, Pedestrian Crossing, Young Bloods, and Shuteye" to name a few. Over the years I have been playing off and on, going back and forth from electric to acoustic and finally sticking with the acoustic only around 2002.<br /><br />After watching a few youtube videos of musicians playing acoustic and singing in their bedrooms, I decided I wanted to make my own youtube channel and sing to the world. I joined youtube on November 2008 and have been making videos regularly and I love doing it. Even though I am no youtube rockstar and my voice is average with wrong notes from time to time, honestly I don't care.
